Fiscal Year 2013 Pay Raise

Today, the Senate Appropriations Committee marked up its version of the FY 2013

Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill.  The Committee-approved bill is silent on a 0.5% pay raise for civilian federal employees in 2013.

Last week, the House Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee marked up its version of the same FY 2013 spending bill.   That bill is also silent on the 2013 pay raise.  Importantly, however, neither bill includes language requiring a continued federal pay freeze in FY 2013.  As you know, the President recommended a 0.5% pay raise for 2013 and NTEU will continue to push the Administration and Congress to make that happen.  As soon as there is further information to report, I will let you know.
